F.O.L.D. Haiku Repository!

Post by Fusion on Thu Nov 10, 2011 1:20 am

At the beginning of the 2010-2011 year, I became the only exec who knows how to operate the listserv in full. Somehow I got the idea of putting jokes in the emails. That didn't work out well, so I made haikus instead =). One to open the email, and one to close. It's kind of a shame to just get rid of them (it gives flavour...!), so here they are for posterity's sake. We can also post to make more haikus! Anna said she'd tweet them, too.

January 17, 2011:
Finally school has
Returned to torment your lives,
But then so have we =)

And now I say cheers
To you lively FOLD members,
Till next time we meet!

january 26, 2011:
Valentine's Day is
Still so far away, but we've
Already begun...

And oh by the way,
Rabbit photos are up now.
Go to our Flickr!

january 29, 2011:
It's hardly easy
To make a rose from paper,
But neither are we.

For the next two weeks
FOLD will be pretty busy.
Do your best, you guys!

february 6, 2011:
Now that you have had
Your first taste of rose-making,
Won't you make some more? =)

I think it'd be fun
To watch a scary movie,
But then that's just me.

february 14, 2011:
I don't hate Haikus,
But making two every week...
My brain's getting dry ^_^;;

Origami's fun.
By God, origami's fun!
Origami's fun.

march 6, 2011:
We are still alive!
Just a bit shell-shocked from tests,
But otherwise fine. =)

Gone, is Reading Week
Gone, like the marks on my tests
Gone, so far away... ='(

march 13, 2011:
I had briefly wished,
As the March sleet hit my face,
That I was a goose.

Can you hear it now?
The sound of footsteps creeping...
Those killer exams?

march 27, 2011:
After watching that,
Please remind me never to
Look into a well.

Silent chills of March,
Blowing across my face the
Last breath of winter.

september 6, 2011:
Summer is over.
That bittersweet feeling comes,
To welcome the Fall.

Stone-grey ashes fly
From that finished barbecue.
Time to go back home.

And then Soapy took over haiku-making =)

september 18, 2011:
I open my eyes
The leaves are changing colour
I say hello world

Hello world, I say
The birds are singing new songs
For new beginnings

october 16, 2011:
Cold rain on cold cheeks
The radio is singing
A wonderful world

A wonderful world
It would be, with warm coffee
Warm hands and warm hearts

november 20, 2011:
Fold a paper hat
Or a paper umbrella
For the autumn rain

Fold a bird, a crane
A rose or candy cane, just
Fold fold fold fold fold

April 1, 2012:

Sunlight shines upon
Pages of a rustic book
Words are forgotten

Dust falls and scatters
Between the creases and the folds
Memories remain
